
DUMFRIESSHIRE dogs and their handlers introduced home a number of victories from Crufts 2023 on the weekend.
Danielle Wilson from Gretna had an exquisite journey to the NEC along with her whippet Luna.
Luna, who was bred by Steph Marston-Pollock of the world well-known Falconcrag Kennel, positioned second in an enormous graduate class.
Danielle then competed along with her different canine, Ella, within the Young Kennel Club Handler of the 12 months Warmth on Saturday.

After profitable the 12-16 years YKC Hound Warmth, she needed to return for the finals on Sunday with each of her dogs.
Danielle mentioned she felt delighted, excited and nervous all similtaneously she and Luna lined up towards among the prime handlers within the nation aged from 6-24.
However she needn’t have nervous because the pair had been runners up within the hotly contested class.
It means the teen now holds two titles this 12 months, with each the Runner Up Scottish Kennel Club Junior Handler of the 12 months 2022 and the Runner Up Young Kennel Club Handler of the 12 months 2023 beneath her belt.
Danielle is over the moon at her Crufts success and thanked her mum and pa, Sally and Graeme Wilson, and Luna and Ella’s breeder Steph for all their help.
Additionally competing was Lina Schukardt from Moffat, who ran along with her two Frenchland Lhasa Apsos, Leo and Kala.
Leo got here third in his Veteran Dog class, whereas Kala got here fourth within the Yearling Bitch class.

In the meantime, Katie McMillan and whippet Bobby from Eastriggs received the Submit Graduate class, whereas Joanne McFarlane from Dumfries along with her Newfoundland, Tornado, was positioned fourth within the Good Citizen Class.
Danielle, Katie and Joanne are all member of Carliol Ringcraft Society, which meets in Carlisle, and had a number of members attending final week.
Club secretary Jane Energy mentioned: “Because the membership’s secretary, I’m delighted with members successes.
