
Rats the dimensions of cats are invading a seaside neighborhood in Wales.
The alarmingly giant rodents, which locals have dubbed “super rats,” are taking over lodging in Tenby, a well-liked seashore city that pulls 1000’s of summer season vacationers, in keeping with The Solar.
This specific breed of vermin is immune to over-the-counter poisons and has such sturdy enamel they’ll gnaw via concrete.
Residents there worry the creatures — which measure 20 inches lengthy from head to tail — and one instructed the outlet that they’re “living in terror.”
Native boatman Roger Miles lamented to the BBC that the pest drawback has been “really concerning” in latest weeks.
“Early evenings, dusk, early morning, rats all over the place really,” he stated.
“There’s a certain area where you see parts of the cliff have been eroded. It’s been going on for a long time, it’s been left alone and something needs to be done about it.”
